Recent Projects From the Recording Production Workshop

Sarah Turkiew is a young, gifted composer and jazz sax player who had a dream to go into a recording studio and record her first CD. I worked with her on her original jazz compositions, jazz theory, and improvisation and the result was the masterful recording, Yes I Can! with myself and two consummate professional jazz players whom I have performed and recorded with over the years – string bassist James Cammack and drummer Frank Bellucci. The recording consists of Sara’s 14 original compositions and one wicked arrangement of John Coltrane’s Giant Steps.
Merry Christmas Darling-Grace Haggerty.p
Grace Haggerty’s recording, “Merry Christmas Darling” has my jazz band arrangements of Christmas standards. Grace has a marvelously low, beautiful alto voice and her interpretations of the Christmas repertoire are just superb!  It was a challenge to arrange this familiar music in new and fresh ways and I think you’ll like the end result. The recording is available on Amazon, Discogs, Apple Music, and Napster.
